Supporting Our Veterans: Financing Home Care
We're Here To Assist You
Navigating the application process for veterans’ benefits can often be complex and time-consuming. While our Home Care Right At Home team can’t guarantee approval or completing your application, we can serve as a reliable source of information and offer referral assistance at no cost. In collaboration with Veterans Care Coordination, we’re ready to support you throughout this process and commence home care services without delay.
Eligibility for Aid & Attendance Pension
Veterans and their surviving spouses who require assistance with activities of daily living may be eligible for the Pension with Aid and Attendance. This benefit covers in-home care. The benefit extends to those who live in assisted living facilities and nursing homes. The criteria for eligibility include meeting certain health, income, and service benchmarks. The Aid and Attendance benefit may supplement the Department of Veterans Affairs monthly pensions.
Reliable Home Care Resource
Our partnership with Veterans Care Coordination positions us as your reliable resource for home care services and veterans’ benefits, Pension with Aid, and Attendance. Our services include transportation, companionship, homemaking, physical assistance, personal care, everyday health reminders, and meal planning and preparation.
Eligibility Criteria
Those requiring assistance with dressing, bathing, cooking, eating, and others may qualify. Veterans or surviving spouses of veterans who served 90 days or more on active duty, with at least one day during a period of war, may be eligible. Medical, service, and financial criteria must also be fulfilled.
Homemaker/HHA Program
We offer a program that provides personal care services and assistance with activities of daily living. The duration of these services depends on the authorization and can range from 6 hours per week to 24 hours per day. There is no cap on the number of hours.
Respite Program
Our respite program offers temporary care to provide a much-needed break for family caregivers. The hours allocated depend on the needs of the veteran. These respite hours are provided in addition to any Homemaker/HHA or Aid and Attendance services a veteran may receive.
